Hello my Friends, my Sunshines!
It’s been too long, and I can’t tell you how much joy it brings me to be back here, sharing this space with you. I hope you’ve all been doing well and finding your own paths to growth and happiness.
Before diving into today’s topic, I wanted to take a little time to share what’s been happening in my world. These past few months have been transformative for me, but they certainly haven’t been easy. I went through some real lows, moments that left me feeling stuck and drained. I spent days—weeks, even—where just getting out of bed felt like an achievement. But I gave myself the time I needed to process, to heal, and to realign. And now, here I am, standing still strong.
I want you all to see the reality: I’m not perfect. I’ve felt horrible, made mistakes, and struggled with thoughts that may never fully go away. But I’ve learned not to let the past define my future. Those thoughts might still come up, but they don’t control where I go from here.
It’s okay to struggle and feel broken sometimes. What matters is that we keep moving forward, accepting our past while focusing on where we want to go. Every day is a new chance to grow and find strength.
I’m genuinely proud of myself for working through those tough times. No one’s life is perfect, and I want you all to know that behind the scenes, there’s always more than meets the eye. Life doesn’t always come easy; sometimes it throws things at us that feel like they could break us. But those moments can make us stronger if we let them. If you’re facing something similar, know that it’s okay to pause, gather your strength, and come back when you’re ready.
Today’s blog is all about the power of stepping back—of taking time to disappear for a while to rediscover yourself, rebuild, and return stronger and braver. I spent days researching and listening to different podcasts to bring you the most valuable insights for this journey. Here are the tips I found most impactful, ones that I believe will truly help along the way. No matter what challenges you’re facing, don’t give up. Keep pushing toward the goals you’ve set, because every setback can be a setup for an incredible comeback. We’re in this together.
“Disappear to find yourself again” is a concept that reflects the idea of taking a step back from the world, whether physically, emotionally, or mentally, in order to reconnect with your true self. It implies that sometimes, in the chaos and distractions of everyday life, we lose touch with who we truly are, and the only way to rediscover that inner clarity is by withdrawing from external influences. This “disappearance” doesn’t necessarily mean isolation or escaping completely, but rather taking time for reflection, solitude, or simply finding a peaceful space to listen to your own thoughts and feelings.
Fix Your Mind
Mental Clarity
Take steps to clear mental clutter. This could involve meditation, mindfulness, or journaling (check out my guide to starting a journal) to help organize your thoughts and reduce stress.
Focus on Purpose
Reevaluate your priorities and goals. To fix your mind, focus your energy on what truly matters, while eliminating distractions that divert you from your purpose.
Positive Thinking
Replace negative thought patterns with positive, constructive ones. Practice self talk with kindness, and use affirmations to reinforce your strengths and potential.
Mindfulness Practices
Engage in activities that promote mental well-being, such as exercise, reading, listening to podcasts, writing or connecting with nature.
Fix Your Emotions
Emotional Balance
Deal with unresolved emotional issues or trauma, ensuring that your emotions don’t dominate your mental state.
Acknowledging Your Emotions
Recognise and accept your feelings instead of suppressing them.
Managing Stress
Use relaxation techniques like deep breathing, meditation, or physical activity to calm yourself.
Expressing Yourself:
Find healthy ways to express your emotions, such as journaling or talking to a trusted person.
Forgiveness:
Let go of past hurt by forgiving others and yourself, freeing yourself from emotional baggage.
Fix Your Health
Exercise Regularly
Aim for a mix of cardio, strength, and flexibility exercises to boost your energy and maintain a healthy body. Walk daily to hit your step goal, and set a specific fitness target (mine is being able to do pull-ups).
Eat a Balanced Diet
Prioritize whole foods, including fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats, while limiting processed foods.
- I’ve battled with eating disorders for a long time, and anyone who’s been there knows just how challenging it is to rebuild a healthy relationship with food. Right now, my main focus is simply nourishing myself enough each day. I may share more about this journey in the future, so stay tuned!
Sleep Well
Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night to allow your body to rest and repair.
Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water throughout the day to support bodily functions. Always have your water near you!
Regular Check-ups
Visit your doctor or seek professional help for routine check-ups and screenings to catch any potential health issues early.
Develop a Skill
Set Clear Goals
Define what you want to achieve with the skill, whether it’s a new language, a sport, business or a creative talent.
Practice Regularly
Dedicate time each day or week to practice, even in small amounts, to build momentum.
Seek Feedback
Learn from others through feedback or mentorship to improve faster and avoid mistakes.
Challenge Yourself
Gradually increase the difficulty to push your limits and keep improving.
Track Your Progress
Keep a journal or use an app to track your milestones, which can keep you motivated.
Must-do List
Let Go of Toxic People
Release relationships that drain your energy or bring negativity. Surround yourself with supportive, uplifting individuals who encourage your growth.
Face and Overcome Your Fears
Identify what holds you back and take steps to confront it. Each time you face a fear, you build confidence and move closer to your true self.
Practice Deep Listening:
Learn to listen actively, not only to others but also to yourself. Pay attention to your thoughts, feelings, and instincts. Listening is a skill that fosters deeper understanding and empathy.
Prioritize Self-Care
Put yourself first by nurturing your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Self-care is essential to knowing yourself and honoring your needs.
Go to the Gym
The gym is a comforting space to focus, relieve stress, and build both strength and confidence.
Embrace Lifelong Learning
Keep expanding your knowledge and skills. Read books, take courses, study and explore new interests to continue growing and evolving.
Stop Procrastinating
Take action on your goals, even if they’re small steps. Moving forward keeps you focused on growth rather than getting stuck in old patterns.
Delete Social Medias for a While
Taking a break from social media can be a powerful step toward reconnecting with yourself and finding peace – avoid comparison, reclaim your time, connect with real life.

I’ve only read two of the books mentioned above, while the rest were either recommended to me or found through my research. I’m really looking forward to reading them and just wanted to share my “to-read” list with you. Since I haven’t finished them yet, I can’t provide an honest review or thoughts at the moment, but I plan to update my reviews in a future post.
